Judy Gupton

Judy Gupton began her career as University of Memphis Athletics Special Events Coordinator in November 2004.

Because of having been a small business owner for Executive Chef Catering for more than 20 years, Judy brings years of customer service, event planning and communication skills to the Tiger Scholarship Fund Department. Since her arrival she has initiated fundraising events for all levels of Tiger supporters, coordinated pre-football, baseball, basketball & soccer dinners and special events.

Her Memphis “roots” have proven to be quite an asset for the Athletic Scholarship Fund. A broad base of business and social contacts has proven invaluable in her efforts to enhance private and corporate support for the Tiger Scholarship Fund.

Judy has served two terms as a board member for several organizations in the Memphis Area to include the Advisory Board of the Memphis Food Bank, Foundation Board of the Memphis Regional Chamber of Commerce, and the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce. She served as Chairman of the Board for the Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce during 2003. Her volunteer service continues on various committees through out the community including Chairman of the Taste of the Town for 11 years hosted by  Germantown Area Chamber of Commerce and Make a Wish Foundation.

Judy achieved a Bachelor’s Degree in Home Economics from the University of Tennessee at Martin and a Bachelor’s Degree in Education from Memphis State.

Judy and her husband, Leland, system integration specialist for Lockheed Martin, Inc., have three children and four grandchildren – all located in the Memphis area.
