Carl Evans, Assistant Athletics Director of Development

Carl Evans
Carl Evans joined the Athletics Development Office as Assistant Director in November of 2006. In 2009 he was promoted to Assistant Athletics Director for Development. His main responsibilities include oversight of the Tiger Scholarship Fund staff and fundraising activities while personally focusing on securing major gifts to the athletics department.
Evans began his career in development at the University of Nevada Las Vegas (UNLV), working in the Rebel Athletic Fund from January 2004 through October 2006. During his tenure at UNLV annual support for the Rebel Athletic Fund increased by 21%.
Evans is a native of Ramah, New Mexico. He received his bachelor’s degree from Weber State University. While there he played wide receiver for the Wildcat football team. Evans went on to receive his master’s degree in athletic administration from UNLV.
Evans and his wife Starla have three daughters, Skye (November ’02), Delanie (June ’04) and Ryla (June ’11). They currently reside in Cordova.
